Waitsel's Comedies - Laughter is the Best Medicine

I've selected what I believe are the best comedies of all time. Naturally, my taste in comedy is not going to be exactly like yours. It may not even be close. But I hope you'll give all these films a chance to make you laugh. If you do, they may cure you of what ails you. This is a work-in-progress. I've divided comedies into different types. There is some overlap, but most cover just a decade. For example, slapstick comedy is confined pretty much to the 1920s, screwball comedy to the 1930s, comedy of manners to the 1940s, etc. Each decade seems to have its own unique style of humor. My "Comedy Rx" is a compendium of the best comedies from all eras. They are what I believe to be the creme de la creme. Enjoy! And laugh! - Waitsel
